Review of Hangamble.com

There are plenty of sites on the internet that give good places to organize information. Hangamble is one of these, and it is for poker sites!

The layout of the site is one thing that really impresses me, a lot of work was put into the graphics to make them appealing and easy on the eyes. The buttons are all big and the links are clear so they don't confuse you as you are browsing through their posts. All the posts are divided into categories so it is easy to pick your interest group without having to endure those seven page articles that some news sites are notorious for.

For an information site, Hangamble does really well. I hope they continue to expand and cover the online poker market.

Wikileaks is Back

The US government attempted to shut down a primary wiki site for leaked documents from several governments around the world, effectively attempting to censor free speech and freedom of information. This site is called Wikileaks, and here is an exert from their site:

Wikileaks is developing an uncensorable Wikipedia for untraceable mass document leaking and analysis. Our primary interest is in exposing oppressive regimes in Asia, the former Soviet bloc, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, but we also expect to be of assistance to people of all regions who wish to reveal unethical behavior in their governments and corporations. We aim for maximum political impact. Our interface is identical to Wikipedia and usable by all types of people. We have received over 1.2 million documents so far from dissident communities and anonymous sources.
Truly a noble goal and a very good way to bring atrocities to light by allowing people around the world in oppressive governments to submit data on their atrocities and inhumane laws and actions.

Right now they are asking people for support in their legal defense fund, and I urge my readers to check that out. This is something worth supporting to those who believe in freedom and want to do their part to help out those in countries where governments are far less kind to their citizens.

Game Give Away Of The Day: Tanks Evolution

Hey Fly Games, 1999 called. They want their crappy birds-eye view tank shooter back. This game is very similar to injuring yourself repeatedly with a blunt object. Perhaps though that would be a more enjoyable activity. 49% Approval rating makes it ALMOST passable as a game however it doesn't quite get there. I'll include a screen shots after the description so look for that below. This is a poor attempt at a tank game, and normally those are very difficult to screw up.

Download it here.

Information as usual:

Tanks Evolution is an arcade shooter that takes you on 40 missions in the jungles, city, arctic area and the desert where you engage into intensive tank combats.

Your objective is to stop a relentless invasion of enemy tanks. Blast them all and avoid their fire. Take advantage of the terrain and upgrades and you are the winner!

A refreshingly uncomplicated style of gameplay shines with nice physics and spectacular visual effects.

Give Away Of The Day: Windmill 3D Screensaver

I skipped over yesterday because the software being given away was terrible, but today its so terrible that I have to say something about it. Apparently GAOTD decided that a paid screen saver is something people would want for some unknown reason, despite the fact that people generally DON'T CARE about screen savers. This shows perfectly with its 24% approval rating. It isn't even a good screen saver.

Not sure why you would want it, but here you go anyway.
